Gilroy Varsity Mustangs Defeat Saratoga Varsity Falcons Behind Strong Performance From Ariela Yslava advancing to the finals. Ariela Yslava struck out 14 batters as the pitcher led Gilroy Varsity Mustangs past Saratoga Varsity Falcons 1-0 on Tuesday at Los Gatos High School. Yslava allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings while walking none. The pitching was strong on both sides. Gilroy Varsity Mustangs pitchers struck out 14, while Saratoga Varsity Falcons sat down two. Gilroy Varsity Mustangs got on the board in the fourth inning after Averi Peters grounded out, scoring one run. Saira Ramakrishnan started in the circle for Saratoga Varsity Falcons.
