A passed ball put Aptos High Varsity Softball on the board in the top of the first. Marina Sacrey singled to center field, which helped San Leandro Varsity Pirates tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. San Leandro Varsity Pirates took the lead, 7-1, in the bottom of the second thanks to doubles by Isabella Lopez Puertas, Sacrey, and Camryn Gilbert. San Leandro Varsity Pirates added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Aptos High Varsity Softball committed an error, and Lopez Puertas grounded out, each scoring one run. Sacrey earned the win for San Leandro Varsity Pirates. The righty allowed four hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking one. Mya Najera-White took the loss for Aptos High Varsity Softball. The hurler went six innings, allowing 11 runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, striking out three and walking eight. Emma Burgueno led Aptos High Varsity Softball with one run batted in. Kailani Aguayo led Aptos High Varsity Softball with two hits in three at bats.
