Natalie Murray Skalland couldn’t be stopped Thursday, going a perfect 4-for-4 to lead Scotts Valley to an 11–7 win over Soquel.
After trading early runs, Scotts Valley broke the game wide open in the fourth inning, erupting for nine runs on eight hits. Gabriella “Gigi” Gauthier delivered one of the biggest swings of the inning with a two-run single as the Falcons flipped the game in their favor.
Murray Skalland sparked the offense from the start, collecting two doubles and two singles while driving in a run. Scotts Valley finished with 13 hits, with contributions throughout the lineup.
Chloe Kent earned the win in the circle, striking out eight over four strong innings, while Soquel stayed competitive with 10 hits of their own, led by Charlie Crotwell and Emma Niizawa.
