The Mariners added breathing room in the second when Angie Lopez doubled to center, driving in two as Aptos kept pressure on throughout. Burgueno finished with two hits in three at-bats, while Lopez drove in a team-high two runs to lead an offense that made the most of its chances.

Najera-White took care of the rest, spinning five scoreless innings while allowing just three hits, striking out four, and walking two. Aptos also played a flawless game defensively without committing an error, putting together a complete effort from start to finish.
