The Vikings built an early advantage in the first inning when Corona, Kymberly Deguzman, Abril Sanchez, and Irie Williams each drew bases-loaded free passes or delivered hits to bring runs home. North Salinas added to the lead in the third as Sanchez singled in a run and Deguzman stole home. Corona capped the night in the fifth inning with a grand slam to left field during a five-run frame that sealed the run-rule victory. Audri Palmer handled the work in the circle, allowing just two hits across five scoreless innings.
