Salinas Notes and Quotes
Salinas High defeated Fremont High of Sunnyvale 3-1 tonight at the Pit for their first CCS playoff win. Fremont scored first with a penalty kick in the 49th minute. Salinas' Taylor Burbank then scored in the 52nd minute to tie the game. The game then went into overtime and Salinas' Melissa Chin scored in the 84th minute. In the 99th minute Taylor Burbank scored again. Goal Keeper, Sophia Tellez, had a total of 9 saves. Cynthia Camacho was praised for her defensive play. Salinas will next face Carlmont on Saturday.
