The St Francis Sharks traveled to Salinas High and dropped one to the Cowboys 55 - 38. The Sharks shot 12 for 47 from the floor, 2 for 8 from beyond the 3 point line and 8 for 17 from the free throw line. The Sharks poor shooting led them down the road to defeat. For the Sharks Freshman Katherine Brown led all scorers with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks,sophomore Annette Ruvalcaba had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Sophomore Jasmine Olivers had 5 points, Junior Renee Gonzalez sunk one from beyond the arc for 3 points and Junior Erin Laverone had 1 point, 10 rebounds and 1 block. For the Cowboys Carley Hadden had 14 points, Nina Oropeza had 12 points, Mia Musones and Stephanie Earhart each had 7 points. The Sharks next game will come in their first SCCAL Varsity game on January 4 against the Watsonville Wildcatz at the Borrina Athletic Center at 5:30 PM.
